Camp Victory - Not Just For SUMmer

Hey SUM family, Tiffany here!

Hub

In his shelter in the day of trouble, that's where you'll find me, for he hides me there in his holiness. He has smuggled me into his secret place, where I'm kept safe and secure - out of reach from all my enemies. Triumphant now, I'll bring him my offerings of praise, singing and shouting with ecstatic joy! Yes, listen and you can hear the fanfare of my shouts of praise to the Lord! Psalm 27 5-6 (TPT)

Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly. The strong right arm of the LORD has done glorious things! Psalm 118:15 (NLT)

I really love the way The Passion Translation words these verses in Psalm 27. "He has smuggled me into his secret place..." It is as though He has taken great lengths and care to keep His location under lock and key. In His shelter, anyone hidden there is untraceable. Can you imagine the security, confidence, and REST where nothing can touch or harm you? Can you envision the emotions brought about there? Triumph. Praise. Singing. Ecstatic joy. Fanfare. I don't know about you but I could sure use some of that!

The key is God's presence -

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11 (NKJV)

In the multitude of my anxieties withing me, Your comforts delight my soul. Psalm 94:19 (NKJV)

The key is our focus -

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)

Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, And revive me in Your way. Psalm 119:37 (NKJV)

The key is our response -

But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress. Psalm 59:16 (NLT)

See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. Isaiah 12:2 (NLT)

If there is anything that I've learned over the years it is this: When I fail to fill myself up with praise, thanksgiving and gratitude for the Lord; I inadvertently fill up with complaints, doubt and fear.

Let's take some time to praise the Lord in the comments. What are some things, right now - in this current season you are in, that are praiseworthy? How can you thank Him today? I would love to see the comment section blow up with shouts of honor, thanksgiving and praise today. Let's raise our HALLELUJAH!

I bless you with peace, ecstatic joy and rest in Jesus' name.
