My friends, I want to give you some updates on the Miller household as there has been a lot going on lately. Praise God, we now know my daughter’s heart issue is due to her thyroid. She and I share the same issue and now we’re both on the right track to feeling better in this area. She is now on medication for this, and I’m on a new one that seems to be working better so far. Thank You, mighty Jesus that Your healing comes in so many ways.

I also want to share with you that God told me toward the end of last year that He was “preparing His vessel.” I see now this was part of His plan for this year of intimacy. What I now understand even more is that it can be quite painful. Forgive me for not being as active as much these last few weeks but Abba has me dealing with some things I’ve kept pushing way for when there was time until finally He said, “It’s time.”

My family and I have been through a lot the last seven years or so (cancer, death, financial upheavals, etc. along with some issues from my past) and I thought I was dealing with most of it okay, but when God wants to move us to new places (prepare the vessel) it means the old and lingering crud must be scraped out so that His glory can be better held and reflected.

So that is what I’ve been walking through and Lynn has been my cheerleader and prayer warrior, along with some very specific friends God has called to walk along side me in this (really and truly amazing to suddenly get a call or text from a friend who says, God told me to call and pray with you).

And even more surprising has been watching my husband come along side me in this time as I never imagined but had longed and hoped for. He’s been my comforter and my hero. So unexpected and so amazingly God—the proof I needed that Abba is working in my guy even when I can’t see it.

I’m so grateful for my family at home and for you, my SUM family. Abba has promised me this time of preparation is about to end, and I hope that means I will get to share more of what He does and is doing when He tells me it’s okay to do so.

In the meantime, know that I am here, that I love you all so very much and I am praying for this amazing family of God.

Love you so much,
Dineen

(Here are some songs that have greatly ministered to me this week.)
