Victory in the WORD ~ Meet Connie

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Let’s talk. Spiritual warfare is real. Literally good and evil are at ware every minute of every day. It surrounds you and is likely unfolding right above your unsuspecting head.

If you are living in a spiritually unequal marriage it is likely that we are on the front line of this battle field. Although you may not want to be a participant, you are by default. This can sound scary. BUT FEAR NOT!

We are about to discover how much power we really have over the enemy. I learned so much about this while at the blogger’s retreat. There I met Connie Haile. She is currently healed and whole from cancer.

In March of 2008 Connie was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. The doctor told her husband that she had only three to six weeks to live, but Connie said with resolute faith, “my God is the great physician.” Undergoing treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, she quickly took advantage of the opportunity to minister to everyone that crossed her path. She shared the love of Jesus with patients and staff and declared that she was healed and whole in Jesus name. Connie is grateful for the time that God allowed her to be a light in a dark world. Needless to say, Connie proved that God’s word is true and the He honors His word above His name.

Connie is exhibit “A” of God working through her spoken words of prayer. We are going to learn together what she shared with all of us at the conference. Let’s begin with Psalm 91. I call this my power passage. And IT IS!

Listen to my new southern friend Connie.

Okay, that Southern charm is commin' through. She is adorable.

Today, open your Bible and read Psalm 91 OUT LOUD. We will talk more about this in the days ahead.

Rember this as you read. You are chosen. You are God's own child. Christ's is our Redeemer. What then shall we fear?

Be blessed, Lynn
