Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.
My husband works a busy job, he organizes events for our community, and usually he's worn out by the time he gets home. It's not always easy to get him to do things that need doing around the house but recently he's really been making a BIG effort to try and please me. Recently he totally reorganized my office at home, made a new desk for me and cleaned it all up at the end. I started thinking about how much I criticize him when things go wrong but I hardly ever seem to praise or thank him when he's thoughtful and does something good for our family. As human beings we thrive on praise. Unkind words really bring us down and damage our spirits hurting our hearts.
A motto that we have in our family is "treat others how we want to be treated" and it's the same with our spouses. Your husband may have done wrong in the past but let's look to the future. If he fixes something in your house thank him for it or if he makes dinner thank him for it, whatever he does to please you make sure you praise him, use kind uplifting words - really focus on it specifically.
You'll be amazed at the response you get!

Marching Around Jericho is a spiritual guide. As you read through the pages, powerful and transformative instruction and equipping takes place. We follow Jesus as he leads us around the walls, imparting kingdom truths with each passing, finally arriving at the gates of the walled-off city, our spouse’s unbelieving heart. After the circles in prayer are complete, we arrive fully prepared to command the walls to crumble and be removed, making a way for our spouse to step from the rubble of lies and captivity, into faith and freedom!
