Jehovah-Jireh - The Lord Will Provide
As I have watched the developing economic news over the past week, I have grieved for the many who will suffer financially in the months ahead.
In the county where I live, home foreclosures hit a record 300% increase over the prior year. Yes, you did you read that right?
I know many families who are affected by this economic upheaval.
For women, financial insecurity is particularly scary. So as I sat and watched the news last night, I was moved to pray for friends and for our nation. I know many of the readers who stop here have received bad news such as layoffs and repossession notices.
So how can we be thankful when it appears our life is ruined? We can be thankful because we serve Jehovah-Jireh.
Our Lord will provide. Sometimes He must take us to poverty of finances to see our poverty of spirit. It is in these desolate and desperate places where our deep need for a Savior is revealed. For those of us in unequally yoked marriages, this is especially true of our spouses.
I know a difficult road lies ahead for many of us including possibly me. But, we must cling to the God of our ancestors. The LORD, God is our provider. He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Psalm 84:11 11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.Psalm 34:10 NLT 10 Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.

Marching Around Jericho is a spiritual guide. As you read through the pages, powerful and transformative instruction and equipping takes place. We follow Jesus as he leads us around the walls, imparting kingdom truths with each passing, finally arriving at the gates of the walled-off city, our spouse’s unbelieving heart. After the circles in prayer are complete, we arrive fully prepared to command the walls to crumble and be removed, making a way for our spouse to step from the rubble of lies and captivity, into faith and freedom!
