Pray With Power

image from www.spirituallyunequalmarriage.comI believe. I’ve decided that I believe the Bible. I believe the sun and moon stood still and there has never been a day like that before or since then. But I believe that if God tells me to command the sun, He will surely do it. And He will send the hailstones as well if that will serve His purposes.

What is mind-blowing about all this revelation in the past week about locks, lockers, keys and such is the GIANT breakthroughs in my life that came with it. Personal breakthroughs such as losing weight, a long area of defeat for me. Breakthrough in writing and other areas. I finally found a new church for which I had been praying for months. My husband attended church. I’ve prayed over him, literally saying, “I blast you with the Holy Spirit.” And this past week, in church, he raised his hand toward the platform as we prayed corporately over a family. Say What? Who is this man?

I tell you he is a man for whom I will never stop “loosing” the Kingdom over his life. I remain hopeful through the Resurrection power that one day SOON he will step into the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. And I will never stop praying for that glorious day!

My friends, I’m convinced in the depths of my soul and so is Dineen that we are living in a unique period of time never seen before nor again. We as believers are positioned to be part of the greatest outpourings of His love and power on earth since the time of Christ.

If you are a reader here, you have been sent here by design. (AMEN!) I’m convinced that the Lord is holding out your key of invitation to step into this time of great preparation. Jump in with both feet. No, I say: Jump off the cliff and BELIEVE He will catch you. Take the keys from His hands and together we shall loose on earth His love and healing. We will bind lies, death, disease, marriage troubles, relationship difficulties, tears, cruelty, fear, depression, sickness and frailty as well as every other mission of the demonic realm. In Jesus name.

So let’s begin right now. Pray with me:

Lord Jesus,

Today this family on the web, who by design is strategically disbursed throughout the planet arises with Joshua courage to fight and DEFEAT the enemy. We are honored that you have trusted us with the keys of the Kingdom. Give us now your Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation to use these keys to open gates that must be opened and to shut those that must be shut upon the demonic realm.

Lord, make us fearless.

Papa, God, make us strong as we stand in faith.

Papa, Almighty God, fill us with a fierce love that knocks down every wall and releases your kingdom here on earth.

Lord, we thrill to see the daily miracles which we will be apart. We expect You to speak to us so that we know your thoughts and wishes. We pledge you our time, our heart, our life, loyalty, worship and love. Forever and ever. We ask you to heal us quickly that we may then bring your healing to the world. And they will know we are Christians by our love.

We adore you. Thank you. And stand in faith… of a mustard seed. In Jesus name. Amen.

PRAY WITH POWER. Hugs, Lynn

We're On the myKLOVE Mobile App!

MyKLOVE_Intro-UpdatedMy friends, we have some exciting news to share. Starting today, Lynn and I will be part of the myKLOVE Mobile App line up of challenges and resources. We would love for you, our SUMite family, to download this app and join us there. This is a new audience for our community to reach out to and share the love and truth of God's presence and love working in mismatched marriages.

The link to download this app on your smartphone is at the end of this post, but let me first tell you the story of how this amazing thing happened. I share this story in my new book I'm working on but I want you, our SUM family, to hear about it here. This was a breakthrough for me in my faith walk, my friends.

You see, I'd been praying for this for a long time, for our ministry to somehow be featured on K-LOVE. I'd even written it on my dream list. I love this station. My girls and I have listened to it for years. I've supported Air-1 financially in the past and now support K-LOVE as it has ministered to me in my life these last few years in a great way.

Trish Fuhlendorf, who has written guest posts for us, helped me connect to their rep for the CA area. This dear woman, Edee, worked up a proposal for us and even recommended the app over the website as she felt our ministry would reach more people there.

My friends, I so wanted to do this but the cost was prohibitive. I'd put away a small amount of funds from my design work, but it just didn't seem enough. And in the midst of this, specific people and ministries I care about were coming forward with needs and the Holy Spirit was nudging me to support them. So I did and watched my balance go down. Each time I prayed in trust for God to provide the funds we needed to do something on K-LOVE...one day.

I let Edee know this too. She completely understood and asked if it was okay to still tell their team about our ministry here. Of course I told her to do so with the promise that we here at SUM would love on anyone they sent our way. That is our heart here, SUMites. We love all who come and share the hope Jesus has given us.

One more ministry need presented itself—a friend and her family planting a church in a country predominantly Muslim. I prayed and pondered for almost a week. My funds were almost gone. But the question became, was I truly willing to trust God completely for this? I sat in front of my computer and prayed as I sent the money to help. I told God I would trust Him to provide what we needed.

Are you ready to hear what happened next?

The very next day Edee called and left a message for me. Their team was moved by our ministry and wanted to help. They wanted to share the SUM ministry with the myK-LOVE community at no cost to us. Free…a gift.

My friends, I bawled. It was an astounding moment for me. I not only witnessed the truth of Luke 6:38, but had an important breakthrough. The truth hit me deeply that not only was God good, He was good to me.

Dear friends, God's faithfulness and goodness astound me. Today I have the honor of presenting our first resource, “I Can’t Save My Spouse,” on the myKLOVE Mobile App. On May 4th, Lynn will present a Mother's Day challenge that is absolutely beautiful. We will be sure to let you know each time we're featured on the app.

Get the myKLOVE Mobile App: http://www.klove.com/ministry/myklove/)

SUMites, Abba is taking us to a whole new level. We've talked about this in the past, that He's been preparing us for what's next and now here it is. He is taking our "church without walls" into the world to minister and share the truths we have come to know, live and love in our marriages and in our faith lives. We have grown and overcome, we have shared our victories and breakthroughs, and we have helped others to find theirs.

God is so good. My friends, let's praise and rejoice in Him today. Let's make our Papa God proud.

I love you all so, so much.

Keys and Power

image from www.spirituallyunequalmarriage.comOn Friday we asked the question; Do we as modern day believers have access to Resurrection power?

Here is the short answer:

—Ephesians 1:15-23
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Let’s tie this together.

Jesus handed US, that means you and me, the keys to the Kingdom. What is the Kingdom? Well I only have a glimpse but what I know is ginormous. We literally have the power of the Resurrection. Which means we are empowered to speak to the sun or moon to stand still. I say this in the context that if we are serving the Kingdom, walking in God’s will and warring against His enemies and we would ever need the sun to stand still, we could ask, declare and I BELIEVE God would answer and honor our words.

They key here….. Pun intended is this single word…….. believe.

Jesus said in Matthew 16.

  • I will build my church.
  • The gates of hell will NOT prevail against it.
  • I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of heaven
  • Whatever you bind on earth- is bound in heaven.
  • Whatever you loose on earth- is loosed in heaven.

By the Resurrection power of He who dwells in heaven at the Right hand of the Father. BTW, that’s our Dad!

Staggering!

Jesus spent his years of ministry leading His disciples to a place where they would believe. They stepped into that belief when Jesus left and the Holy Spirit arrived. Their belief began as only a mustard seed. And my friends, that’s all we need. Just a teeny, tiny bit of faith.

Right now this minute, pray and ask the Lord to give you that mustard seed of faith. And right now pray a BIG, impossible prayer. Then let’s watch as we even believe that the sun and moon can stand still when an ordinary SUMites prays.

Next up. The breakthroughs that happen when we take the keys and unlock the gates that Jesus has placed before us. I LOVE YOU SUMite Nation. PRAY WITH POWER. Hugs, Lynn

Decluttering the Mind and the Home

IMG_3619
Our growing third batch of stuff to donate.

I find it so interesting how things we may be doing on the outside can often wind up reflecting what’s going on in the inside. I’ve shared that my word for this year is “sanctuary.” So far, the Holy Spirit has been taking me on a journey to declutter my mind and heart to create this place of peace and rest that originates and exists in Him, regardless of what is going on around me.

The interesting thing that has resulted in this process is how it is showing up in the physical aspects of life, in the sense that I’m on a mission to create this place of peace where I live. I’ve done this in our home in Florida without even realizing it. Several people have commented that our house there is peaceful. Even my new office has garnered this comment several times. I believe it is a combination of what is happening inside of me and as well as outside.

Now that we’re back in CA for a few months, I feel the need to do the same here. I’m cleaning out our house here and “purging” 12 years of clutter. Now I’m a pretty neat and organized person. My daughters might even tell you I’m a tad OCD about it at times, but this goes beyond the stuff and flows into the connection between our mind, body and spirit. We know if we are not healthy spiritually, our physical bodies reflect it. And vice verse. God created us in these three parts to be a whole, much in reflection of His Trinity.

So, as my spiritual health is improving, as the Holy Spirit has been “decluttering” my mind and heart of the old lies and misconceptions I’d inadvertently picked up or allowed in from the enemy, I’m finding this is now showing up in my physical home. And what’s even more interesting is that my husband is doing it too.

We are cleaning and purging. Bags and bags of clothing have gone to Goodwill. Five or six bags of books have been donated to a neighborhood library program. Pieces of furniture are being eliminated and either passed on to family or given away.

And I find also there is a parallel to this physical decluttering to our mental decluttering. The question becomes, what do I really need? And it is a process done in layers. As layers of lies are peeled away, there is more room for God’s truth. As His truth infiltrates, more lies are revealed and purged, layer by layer.

My friends, I’m finding this applies to our homes too. As we are peeling back layers of stuff, we begin to see more layers of stuff that we really don’t need. And as it is freeing mentally and spiritually, I find this to be true of our surroundings too. There is a definite connection and I’m determined to bring more of God’s peace into my home and environment. God’s peace and chaos cannot coexist. I believe this is true of our minds and our homes.

For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people. — 1 Cor. 14:33

I’m excited to see how this unfolds and how it affects those around us. I never expected my word for this year to have such a far reaching affect to not only change the “environment” inside me but around me as well. And that is what we want, to bring God’s kingdom to the forefront so that others will be touched, moved and changed, especially our pre-believers.

I wonder, my friends, what are you thoughts and experiences with this. Do you see areas in and/or around you that you can change to invite more of God’s peace to rest and reside there? In you? Around you? I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Love you!

Stop The Sun and Holy Goosies!

Matt 16 18 19SUMite Nation:

Our favor, as Kingdom people, is dawning. If you remember from Monday’s post, the Lord has me camped on the passage in Matthew 16.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
—Matthew 18:18-19 KJV

Sometimes I love to read scripture in the King’s English.

Let me take you back to Monday’s post. I remind you that I’m camped in my spirit upon the implications of believing the passage above and then I arrived in my daily reading at Joshua chapter 10. I do hope you read Joshua 10 on Monday. This is the part that came alive in my soul.

On the day the Lord gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israel:

“Sun, stand still over Gibeon,
and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.”
So the sun stood still,
    and the moon stopped,
till the nation avenged itself on its enemies,
as it is written in the Book of Jashar.

The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the Lord listened to a human being. Surely the Lord was fighting for Israel! (NIV)

Why in the world, after reading God’s Word through every year since 1999, haven’t I “seen” this passage before, I have yet to understand. However, the implications are amazing.

I did some research regarding this phenomenon.

Leading up to this astonishing event we find Joshua and his armies are taking possession of the Promised Land. The battle that precedes this event was a culmination of five kingdoms who joined forces and were positioned to defeat the Gibeonites who were in covenant with Israel. The people of the area send an urgent plea to Joshua to defend their towns. So, here is where it gets interesting. Joshua and the armed forces march all night to arrive at the battle. They traveled 20 miles thus they arrive physically taxed. They took the opposing kingdoms by surprise, fought all day and then the defeated army begins to flee.

Joshua’s troops pursue and chase them down. I love this little tidbit of the story. As the fled and God joined in. God hurled hailstones down upon them. More died from the hail than from the sword. SAY WHAT?.... Holy Goosies!

However, many still were able to flee and Joshua realized evening was nearing. If the opposing army were to find safety in the darkness, they would regroup and then have an upper hand the following day.

So what does a man of God do? He looks up to the sun and moon and commands them to stay in the sky! Therefore because the sun did not set, they had enough time and strength left to soundly defeated five wicked Kingdoms in a single day.

Can I just say, “Whoa!”

And I will add that the Word of God says in verse 14 there has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the LORD listened to a human being. Surely the Lord was fighting for Israel!

There are a few theories about this unique day in the Word such as: The Lord slowed the earth’s rotation along with the moon. So a 24 hour period was stretched to nearly a 48 hour period. And it’s interesting that at the time Joshua adds a side note: as it is written in the Book of Jashar. This book is lost to us now but scholars believe it is a book referenced several times in scripture. Its title when translated is; The Book Of The Upright or The Book of the Upright Man. Fascinating. I just wonder if in these last days, this ancient book may be discovered somewhere in a clay pot, possibly in a cave in the Judean desert. (Oh the things I like to ponder *grin*.)

Anyhoo, what in the world does this ancient story have to do with us?

As I read this passage and the Holy Spirit gave revelation (Ephesian 1:17), I realized that this kind of power that was released to stop the earth’s rotation and cause the moon to stand still is the same power of the resurrection.

Now my question to you is this? As current day believers, do we have this kind of power? And here is the kicker question: Do you think we should want this power? Is it sinful? Or prideful?

I have much more for us to ponder my friends. See you in the comments. I LOVE LIVING THE BELEIVER’S LIFE!!!! Love you my SUMite family.

A Big Word for a Little Man

23765716_sDear friends, I've finished reading the book of Luke and have one final story to share. Again I thought this was two stories, two nuggets but the Holy Spirit impressed upon me the bigger picture AND how they are linked together to my previous post about the the Kingdom of God Within Us. I just love it when He helps us make those connections!

This time the story begins with Zacchaeus. Is that Sunday School song going through your head?

He entered Jericho and was passing through. And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich. And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was about to pass that way.

And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.”

So he hurried and came down and received him joyfully. And when they saw it, they all grumbled, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.”

And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.”

And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” — Luke 19:1-10 EVS

This story has always fascinated me in how this "wee little man" had such a dramatic turn of heart. No doubt, the Holy Spirit was already at work, but I found a little more to this story in that one word Jesus uses.

Must. Jesus says He "must" stay at his house. I looked up the Greek meaning of this word and was astounded by the force behind it:

dei — behoved, be meet, must (needs), (be) need(-ful), ought, should, must, ought, it is necessary, there is need of, it behooves, is right and proper, necessity lying in the nature of the case, necessity brought on by circumstances or by the conduct of others toward us, necessity in reference to what is required to attain some end, a necessity of law.

But this last part especially grabbed me:

necessity established by the counsel and decree of God, especially by that purpose of his which relates to the salvation of men by the intervention of Christ and which is disclosed in the Old Testament prophecies concerning what Christ was destined finally to undergo, his sufferings, death, resurrection, ascension.

After looking this word up, I understood how Zacchaeus had such a stunning and powerful transformation! This one power-packed word spoke to Zacchaeus the heart of his Savior and literally holds the promise and power of Jesus’ death and resurrection.

God's Word is powerful. It is life. Our own Joanne has been sharing this very message with us frequently in the comments, and I have a little more I want to share along these lines. We so often discount how powerful our words can be, to encourage and give life, because we think we don't have something to say, or we don't know what to say.

Guess what? You don't have to have the words, because the One who lives in you does. Take a look at what Jesus said:

And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” — Luke 12:11-12 ESV

This will be your opportunity to bear witness. Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer, for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict. — Luke 21:13-15 ESV

My friends, as we carry the kingdom of God within us, it makes perfect sense that the Holy Spirit will give us words of life to speak in any and every situation, whether in witnessing to a stranger or sharing our heart with our pre-believer. We can apply and expect this in every situation we encounter.

And I have a feeling you are doing this more than you realize as well. Those nudges to speak and act that we know are from the Holy Spirit are "living proof" of the Holy Spirit's presence and the fulfillment of Jesus' promise to us. Living in this understanding and awareness will open our eyes and heart to hear more and more.

Zacchaeus' big word is a powerful example of the Holy Spirit's presence in words. Pray for discernment snd believe that He's there and will teach you when and what to speak. I’m always amazed when the Holy Spirit does this. And don't be surprised if those words you wind up speaking come back to speak to your heart as well. Your faith and trust will grow too!

I love you, my friends, and I love walking this amazing faith journey with you!

Keys To The Kingdom - Part I

SUMites:

I have a thing about keys.

Last week I believe the Lord poured out revelation upon me regarding keys and their significance in the Kingdom. I also believe that the revelation was not only specific to myself but also to others.

Way back in 2009 I penciled together an idea for a book. That book was centered on 10 keys. Winning Him Without Words, was the result and the keys became profound in my life and by default, in a lot of other lives who have read the book and will read the book. Then last year I had a dream. I rarely remember my dreams but on this particular night I dreamt that Jesus handed me three keys. I could clearly see bronze skeleton keys. It was obvious to me they were tarnished and ancient. I knew somehow they were large and weighty.

That’s all I remember about the dream. I called Dineen and told her about it and that I didn’t know the purpose of the keys. It’s one of those things that you hold in your heart, just as Mary held special thoughts about Jesus in her heart. Months passed. The picture in my mind remained of these three keys. Then one day I read a passage in Romans. This passage has nothing to do with keys or at least that’s what I thought. However, the minute I read it, I just knew. These were the keys Jesus placed in my hands.

For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. —Romans 14:17

The three keys are Righteousness, Peace and Joy.

Do you know what the keys unlock?

Well, it was months later after a season of prayer asking the Lord to reveal their meaning that I came to know these specific characteristics; peace, joy, righteousness, are attributes of heaven. The atmosphere of heaven! Now, I don’t fully understand the profound significance of all this. I believe I’m still uncovering how to use the keys and learning what they unlock specifically and such. But, I am living more and more in this kind of atmosphere here on earth.

Finally, in my new book I write about the combination lock which I also shared in a post here in November. And guess what? Yes, the new book is about keys!

Yep, locks, lockers, keys, unlocking and locking are prominent in my growing faith. Finally this past week, I was out in the vineyards on my walk-n-pray and that was when the Holy Spirit downloaded the revelation. I called Dineen and practically wore her out with my excitement over this revelation. But what I forgot is the reason this revelation finally came about was because of a lock I found back in January. I shared a photo of it on Facebook that day and I shared the photo again in the SUM comments on Monday. Here it is for you to see.

Master unlocked

Last week as I walked along the vineyard road, the Lord revealed the meaning of the clues. And what I failed to remember was Dineen and several others found locks around the same time that I found mine. (Side note: I found this lock sitting on the fence post, unlocked. Notice it’s old and also notice the word: Master. Joanne pointed out that little bit of intrigue to me. I hadn’t noticed it said, Master. Hmmmm) Okay, onward.

At the center of Becoming Brave is the passage Matthew 16:18-19

Jesus said: …”Upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

MY FRIENDS!!!!! The implications of how all this comes together, simply freaks me out.

I came home supercharged with faith. Now let me tell you about the passage I read that morning before my walk. I’ve read the Bible through since 1999 and I haven’t remembered reading this specific passage until that morning. This passage blows my mind and was the final piece of the revelation.

Read Joshua 10:1-14 and we will pick up this story on Friday. It’s a mind-blow. And this story is for us. I will explain.

This week I want you to pray over these particular passages of scripture, Matthew 16:18-19 and Joshua 10:1-14. I’m praying along with you because I believe these passages are for us, believers right now, today. The implications are staggering and so exciting.

Leave your thoughts in the comments. See you there. Hugs, Lynn

The Kingdom of God Within Us

16340768_sMy friends, the Holy Spirit is still walking me through the book of Luke and showing me specific things. And now I have a confession to make.

No longer will I make the statement, “God shows up.”

Why? Because I’m learning more fully the depths of His kingdom already present in us. It’s astounding, for sure. In many places Jesus makes the statement that the “Kingdom is near.” I’ve even written about this in the past—how when He makes this statement, it’s like He’s saying, “Here I am. I am the kingdom and I stand among you.”

But this verse the Holy Spirit showed me takes this to a whole new level of understanding.

Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” — Luke 17:20-21 ESV

The Greek meaning of the word “midst” is entos and means within, inside within you i. e. in the midst of you, within you i. e. your soul.

Wow…

My friends, this revelation astounds me and fuels my desire to see God’s kingdom present in my home. I want to see my pre-believer affected by that. My children affected…my family and friends…even strangers I meet at the park or the store. This verse and a providential message the Holy Spirit led me too is helping me walk in this new perspective.

And the possibilities it holds.

But he said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” — Luke 18:27

What if we shifted our mindset to the understanding that many of the things we are praying for are already ours to walk in? For example, God’s Word says we are new creations in Christ Jesus. So instead of asking God to make us new, what if we simply thanked and praised Him for doing it already? Perhaps our prayer needs to be, “Abba, help me see myself as you see me.”

If we know His heart is for none to perish, that He sent His one and only Son for the purpose of saving all, then let’s start believing that is what He’s doing. Yes, our pre-believers still have the choice, but we serve a God whose love is beyond comprehension and draws us to Him according to His plan and timing. We didn’t choose Him, He chose us. The same goes for our pre-believers.

I find myself walking through my day and daily activities thinking of God’s kingdom within me and what I carry. I want to carry it in belief, not doubt, my friends. I’m sure you do too. The amazing thing is, as I’m walking more in this, I am starting to see shifts in the those around me. I am starting to see that when we walk in belief and trust, we “show” Jesus. Our doubts and fears are no longer shrouding His presence.

And it goes even further to this childlike faith in the realization that it’s all Him. I don’t have to perform or “be perfect” in order for the Holy Spirit to be able to do His job. Because of His presence, we constantly carry the Kingdom within us. We carry Jesus and the Father through the Holy Spirit, and they are always present in us. This is what Jesus did when He said He did what the Father showed Him.

So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.” — John 5:19

Jesus is our example of walking in faith and belief. When we believe we hold the kingdom and wait and watch to see what the Holy Spirit is guiding us to do, then listen to that nudge or leading or word and do what He says, we are revealing that kingdom in us.

I have a feeling many of us are doing this more than we realize. We just haven’t learned to trust that it’s the Holy Spirit we are sensing, hearing and listening to. And let me just say that this is where life with God is FUN! My friends, it’s a daily adventure to watch, wait, listen and trust. Challenging too, yes, but those moments when we know He is the one who spoke through us, acted through us, worked through us—they are what I live for each day.

His presence in us, alive and active, moving and changing the world around us, through us, and in us. Amazing!

Lord, we want more, more, more of You and Your kingdom revealed in us everyday. Shift our perspective to see, hear, listen and believe that Your kingdom is in us because You are in us, King Jesus. Holy Spirit, teach and guide us daily how to walk in this childlike faith so that we “glow” with your light and love so brightly that every person we encounter sees You! In the mighty name of Jesus who can do all things, amen!

Live in awareness of His presence, my friends!

God's Love in Our Community

2014-12-19 17.57.31
December 2014: Leslie and I at the beach.

My friends, I can't tell you how touched and moved I am by your outpouring of love, encouragement and prayers in response to my post last Saturday. I’ve shared them with Leslie and she says to tell you thank you—thank you, thank you, thank you for rallying around us. I’m not always good about sharing stuff like this only because I don’t want to burden others nor do I want to put too much attention on me and my family when we have so many needs here. But I am reminded by Abba that He is the one who has led us to become this community, this family. And burdens unshared become too heavy.

So, I will use today’s post to give you an update and a couple areas that need continued prayers. Then as things change, shift and improve in this situation, I will add a P.S. to the bottom of my posts. I am so grateful and touched by your requests to keep you updated. Just, wow…I especially can't wait to share the miracles that are coming.

Leslie’s life verse is Philippians 4:13 and is truly her life’s motto: For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. She clings to this truth and has a great attitude about her future. She and I are already playing tennis several times a week as a way to get her active (an me in shape! Bonus!) and she seems committed to doing whatever she needs to counteract her memory loss. We’ve since learned that the fact that she was a teenager at the time of her treatment will work for her. So, God is already revealing the positive side and blessings in this scenario.

And I am still standing in belief that God will heal her. He did it once before so I know He can and believe He will again. What I am finding fascinating is the ripple effect of this at the moment.

Amazingly, my mother is also encouraging Leslie to believe God can heal her. My mother is a fairly new believer and she herself has experienced God's direct healing of her knee just recently. She had a bone spur that caused her great pain and limited her mobility. I kept encouraging her to pray over it and prayed with her.

The spur is gone! And I can't tell you how overjoyed I was to see her awestruck by God's love and healing. She was like a kid when we walked the beach several weeks ago, excited that she could walk for over an hour!

All this to say. We just never know how God will work in our situations to affect others, too. It's rarely just about us and what we see before us. God’s plans and ways are so far reaching.

For now, please pray that:

  1. Leslie will stay committed to exercising even after my hubby and I go back to Florida in July.
  2. Leslie will begin to go deeper in her faith and believe Jesus can heal her.
  3. Leslie will either adjust to this new medication or that she won’t need it. We’re still working to get the insurance to step in but sometimes those very complications are God’s hand of protection. We’ve seen Him do this before…

And this mama’s heart? Abba has taken great care of me, my friends, through your love and His presence. He has reminded me of things He spoke to me in the past regarding Leslie (turns out He’d given me a word of preparation for this in January of 2014, which I had written in my journal and forgotten) and has reminded me of His intention to draw her into deeper faith through it.

Somehow, this will affect my hubby, too. I’ve not a clue how, but I believe what Papa God is saying and am waiting expectantly and prayerfully to see what He brings forth next. For He is a good, good God. The Great and Almighty Lover of our souls. I am so in awe of His deep reaching love for us.

My friends, your love is a reflection of His too and I am deeply moved and affected by it. Thank you. Your words and prayers have already set into motion amazing changes and miracles. I can’t wait for the day we are together in heaven so I can personally thank and hug each and every one of you. Until then, consider yourself deeply loved and hugged here today. :-)

I love you, my SUM family!

Comments on Spiritually Unequal Marriage

Disqus ProfileHi Friends,

Sometimes the administration of our websites can be a challenge. Increasingly we were struggling with our commenting system through our host, Typepad. Our host suggested that we migrate our comments to their preferred vendor commenting host, Discqus, pronounced Discuss.

Disqus offers some really cool features such as the ability to upload photos into the comments, videos as well as some other cool features. So, as of today we are in process of changing over our blog to this new system. You will notice that there is a new look to the commenting section.

Dineen and I hope you will take a minute and visit Disqus (here) and click on take a tour in the upper left corner, then sign in to obtain your community account (here). Please add your photo so we can see who you are. It's our hope that this makes our amazing community even more close and fills in some of the gaps.

Of course with any new system, we are likely to run into a few hickups. If you discover something that is not working correctly, email me. I will try to figure out how to make things flow smoothly. Also, it may take up to two days before our 31,728 existing comments are transferred over to the new system. So be patient with me.

Anyway, if you would give me a hand, please sign in, and then leave me a comment below. Let me know what you like and what you don't. Thanks so much, Hugs, Lynn & Dineen

Anxiety's Remedy

My Friends,

I will confess that I experienced an upside down week. On several occasions I was pulled into anxiety (fear). Can I just tell you I don’t dwell in the land of anxiety often and as I look back on the two incidents that threw me off my game, I’m now mad.

The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy our peace and joy. And many times in our unequally yoked marriages, he schemes to use our spouse and our children. Sheesh!  Does that somehow seem unfair to you as it does to me? Well, today SUMites. Let me share some truths and this next week, we will not live in anxiety but in peace and joy; the atmosphere of heaven.

Are you in?

Happiness- The root word is happenings. Our circumstances.

When our circumstances (happenings) overwhelm us and we feel all alone, isolated, distant from God. The enemy is aimed straight at your life and his goal is to keep you in anxiety fretting over all the “happenings” in your life.

Joy- is rejoicing in the Spirit. Rooted in God. The goodness and faithfulness of our Papa.

When we remain in the posture of joy, we DEFEAT the enemy. So how do we do that? It’s on our face crying out and it’s a life of thanksgiving. I’m telling you that if you spend even 20 minutes thanking the Lord for all that you have, you will change the atmosphere of your heart, your day and dare I say, even your spouse and kids.

So I challenge you. Every morning this week, take out your journal, write down in any random order the gifts, blessings and abundance you have in your life. Then watch as all of heaven rejoices with you and hell trembles.

Thankfulness is the key to open heaven’s gates and to rest in the reality of our Lord’s Presence.

Now here is your promise:

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. —Philippians 4:4-7

Now the challenge: In the comments we are going to break anxiety. Praise the Lord with Thanksgiving there. I will be praying along with you and I want to know on Friday that you experienced the power, love, peace and joy of our Father and the Kingdom of heaven.

An Update and a Request

IMG_0374
Feb. 8, 2009: Leslie and I on her last day of radiation treatment.

My friends, I’m grieving a bit today, and I would like to ask you for prayers. Many of you have been here long enough to remember that my youngest daughter (now 21) was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor when she was 14 (in 2008) and the story of her recover is truly miraculous. She has been fine and cancer free ever since.

But now we are dealing with the after effects of her radiation treatments, of which there have been none until now. I had no idea radiation could have such far reaching and ongoing effects. Specifically, it’s Leslie’s memory. The radiation has damaged the area of the brain to do with memory and the production of neurons. And it’s progressive.

There are things we can do—she can do. Amazingly one is as simple as doing 30 minutes of cardiovascular activity four or five times a week. And she will have to be on a medication that is likened to the affects of coffee and is in the Ritalin family, to help her memory work better.

So, my dear friends, I am asking you to pray for Leslie’s healing. God told me in 2008 that she would be okay. And she is. As she told me through her tears, “I’m here and I’m alive. I can do this too.”

This is no surprise to Abba and He can do the impossible. But today my mama’s heart is grieving a bit to see my girl have to deal with this too. She is a strong young lady of faith and has a good attitude. She’s fought to put her life back on track after all she went through, and she is determined to move forward.

2014-12-26 14.29.02
Christmas 2014: Leslie doing what she loves best—handling and caring for animals.

My heart ache is…it seemed like she was finally stepping into the fullness of her future (college, etc.) and now this has developed. But as always, Abba has prepared me for this. I see it now as I’m writing this post. A verse that kept popping up the last two weeks…

They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them. — Psalm 112:7

Just this morning I read a devotional about not believing the enemy’s hype. He likes to blow things out of proportion. Our true perspective is Jesus. I am reminding myself of this right now.

And I will not fear this “bad” news, because I trust God to care for Leslie, for all of us. I’m believing that He can do the impossible and heal her brain outright, that this will not be the path of her life. I refuse the enemy’s plans to come in and create more worry and drama and fear, in the name of Jesus, and I declare that this plan against my daughter Leslie is now null and void. She is an overcomer and will overcome this too. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen!

Thank you, my dear friends. My SUMite family. I am so grateful to have this place of encouragement and support. You bless me beyond words. I love you.

Let Them Cry by Joanne Kraft

Joanne Kraft is offering a snippet into her newest book today. Joanne and I have been friends for a long time. Our lives have been interestingly and divinely intertwined. She is a good friend who loves God. I was able to read her book and endorse it. Today, she shares some of her parenting wisdom. Thanks Joanne. Love you girl. Hugs, Lynn

-----

image from joannekraft.comMy teenage son walked down the stairs with a frown on his face. College classes have gotten the best of him.

My pep talk with him yesterday apparently wasn’t as good as I thought it was and my future as a motivational speaker went down in flames.

When I brought my first child home from the hospital their cries were immediately met with a soothing rub and my full attention until the whimpers quieted. From baby tears to teenage sulking, I want to make my child happy. I’ve exhausted myself trying to make this happen.

Here’s what I’ve finally realized– I can’t make any of my kids happy.

Here’s the clue you may be doing something wrong—when you exhaust yourself doing it.

Years ago, when my mom watched me try to stop tears from my four children, she gave me my first golden bit of wisdom, “Let them cry. I promise they will be okay.”

When Mary and Martha sent word to Jesus that their brother Lazarus had died, Jesus didn’t come that very day but waited two more days before heading back to them in Judea. When he arrived he discovered the funeral had already taken place, Lazarus had been dead four days now, and there were two very heartbroken sisters in deep mourning who had been crying for days.

Not only were Mary and Martha in tears but it’s in this passage of scripture where we find the shortest sentence in the Bible—Jesus wept. Two words packed with incredible meaning. Even our Savior shed tears. Even He felt sad.

Let Them Cry

Let them hurt. Is there anything more contrary to mothering than allowing a child to cry or hurt? Still, it’s much needed for their development. Come alongside and give them a hug.  Sympathize and validate their hurt, “Yes, I know you’re sad.” Or, “It’s okay to be sad. Sometimes mommy is sad, too.” And if a child is older, maybe you can empathize, “I understand how hard this is for you.” Or, “I’m sorry you’re going through this. I’ve been there, too.” Follow up with a personal story of your own about a past hurt or grievance.

Let them heal. Give them a little time. Don’t let their hurt sabotage your life or manipulate joy in your home. Scripture reminds us there’s “A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance.” (Ecclesiastes 3:4) Give them needed space but look for signs of healing; interest in friends, playing again, laughter, an appetite, and conversation.

Let them lean. When a child is young they lean on mom and dad for everything. As they grow older we need to let go so they can lean on God. I can’t expect my adult child to have BIG FAITH if they have little experience in leaning on a BIG GOD. If I answer their every whim and whimper, I become God in their eyes. Do you want to grow their faith? Let them lean on the only ONE who can meet and exceed their expectations. (Psalm 62:5)

As a mom, I’m not a magic joy-fairy called to sprinkle pixie-dust over my child’s every moment. I have to remind myself that my daughters and sons must feel pain while in my keep. God grows us through pain. How else will they know how to navigate life’s storms as adults?

image from i1298.photobucket.comAs a mom, I’m not a magic fairy called to spread joyful pixie-dust over my child’s every moment. I have to remind myself, my daughters and sons must feel pain while in my keep. God grows us through pain. How else will they know how to navigate life’s storms as adults?

Let your child cry today. Let them hurt and let them heal, but make sure through it all to let them lean on God. Like I said earlier, scripture reminds us there’s “A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance.” (Ecclesiastes 3:4) Maybe, today it’s time to let them cry. I promise they’ll be okay.

No More Chains

20056895_sMy friends, my post today is a kind of merging of two stories. You see, I thought they were separate, yet as I prayed for Abba's clear leading on what to write, He impressed upon my heart that they are indeed connected.

The first story is one we are very familiar with. The prodigal son. I find myself caught by the father's love for this wayward boy of his...

And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. — Luke 15:20 ESV

For several days I kept reading and examining this one line, because I was so touched by the father's heart before he even embraced his son with forgiveness. It's that small little word that we can often overlook.

The son's father saw him. I looked up the Greek for this word (horaō), and it means to see with the eyes, to see with the mind, to perceive, know. It is also compared with another word that implies to be seen with wide-open eyes, as at something remarkable and signifies an earnest but more continued inspection.

In other words, this father waited and watched expectantly with love and hope for his son's return.

For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate. — Luke 15:24 ESV

This verse moves my heart to the realization that even though the son believed he was lost to the father, the father was never lost to the son. His father watched and waited, expected and yearned. And though the son could not "see" his father, his Father "saw" him.

Can you feel the Father's heart here? This is His heart for our pre-believers and for us, because there are times that we may feel lost, forgotten, unseen.

So, this brings me to the second part of this story. I received a letter in February, a long letter filled with the pain of a heart that feels lost. I read it for the first time just two days ago, because it  wound up in a pile of mail waiting for my return to California. I share that because I am hoping this dear woman, a fellow SUMite sister, will be reading and know she is heard.

She didn't sign her name except for a first initial, nor did she put her name on the envelope, but her heart is all over the page in her words. She carries the heavy burdens of shame, anger, guilt and self-hatred. Her words...

I thought of writing her back privately, but I want this dear woman to know that she is seen and heard.

My friend,

I hear your heart in every painful word you shared. I want you to know that your heavenly Father sees you, even if you feel He is far away and intermittently present, He watches you with a longing heart to comfort and heal you. Please do not stay in the darkness of your suffering any longer. The chains of shame, anger, guilt and self-hatred that you feel are the lies of the enemy designed to bind you and keep you from being the influence and aroma of Jesus to your husband that you desperately want to be.

My sister in Jesus, I stand with you in the power and authority we have in Him and rebuke the spirits of shame, anger, guilt and self-hatred, in the powerful and capable name of Jesus Christ. These spirits can no longer plague you. They are bound as of this moment and cannot return. For what the Lord binds is bound and what He looses is loosed. And we stand in that same authority and stand on the same truth, that what we bind is bound and what we loose is loosed.

And in this "vacancy" left by these defeated spirits, I release the love of Jesus in all fullness and power into your heart. I release the full assurance that you, my friend, are dearly loved, chosen, accepted, adopted, blessed, forgiven and redeemed by Him.

My dear sister in Christ, stand in the truth now and walk forward knowing that as you are loved so is your husband. That love from Jesus will be what flows from Him into you and will be revealed to your husband. No longer will the lies of the enemy dictate your place in your marriage or in your Abba Father's heart. For He sees you. He knows the pain of your heart and He has wept with you.

But now is your time for freedom, to rise above and see your place seated in the heavenly realms. Ask Jesus to show you how He sees you, how He loves you, how He delights in you. You are a daughter of the Most High God. He is waiting for you, arms open and ready to love you, strengthen you and do more for and in you (and your marriage) than you can ask or imagine.

In the powerful name of Jesus, amen! My friend, you are loved in this community as well. I pray you will allow us to love and support you here.

SUMites, join me in these prayers for our sister in Christ. And if you are standing in a similar place right now as she is, step out of this darkness of shame, anger, guilt and self-hatred and allow us to pray for you. I have lived in this place of shame and self-hatred and Jesus delivered me of these spirits. My heart is to pass the blessing I received on to you. Let today be your freedom day, too.

I love you, my SUM family, so very much. I am contending for you! No more chains!

Easter and our Faithful God

image from www.spirituallyunequalmarriage.comOh He is faithful.  If you’ll spare me some time, please let me share some of my story with you all.  I pray God will use it to speak life into just one of your dear hearts.

I have a confession.  I had a problem, a big problem.  This problem was masqueraded by me being responsible and wise.  I didn’t trust God.  I trusted myself, my ability to budget and plan.  I trusted in financial security.  I trusted in money.

I was blinded by this truth through college and through the first nine years of my marriage.   But God awakened me.  God has greatly used this journey of being unequally yoked to teach me how to trust and believe HIM.  HIM alone.

This story is unique to me.  But maybe there’s a parallel to you.   God allowed whatever it took to show me HIS faithfulness.   My husband and I went from being debt free (everything but the house) with a cushion in savings to barely making it paycheck-to-paycheck with accumulated credit card debt.  Oh the whirlwind!!  It was hard.  So hard!  But in the midst of all the pain, lack of control, confusion, fighting against my flesh – GOD was faithful.

The very things God was using to break this stronghold of my trust in money, He most certainly used to pursue my husband.  It was in the beginning of this journey that I felt God speaking to my heart, saying, “I need you to trust ME and I need you to trust your husband.”

And that’s the truth.  I didn’t trust my husband.  I didn’t trust his decisions.  I wanted to control him, especially with our finances.  Me not trusting my husband was keeping him down, holding him back.   Not letting him lead.  And, it was killing our marriage.  When I shifted this budgeting and doing everything by the book burden over to God and my husband, I had peace.  Overwhelming peace.  The fruit of the Spirit – peace.

God had work to do in me.  He showed me that I was the older brother in Luke 15.  I was a Pharisee craving a black and white faith.  I longed for control to figure it all out, instead of clinging to, and trusting in the God of the universe.

This was a radical change for me, and an unfamiliar road.  There were rocks and many unknowns.  And the u-turns frequently called me back to my place of comfort and control.  But I knew TRUSTING GOD was the most excellent way.  His Word spoke this truth to me over and over.

In 1 Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (NKJV)  Oh how I knew the first part of this verse, but the second part pierced my heart with truth.  I was in the middle of feeling the sorrows.  There’s no way I wanted any more.

In Mark 10:23-34, “Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!” 24 And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God!”  (NKJV) Oh how I knew this verse was for me.  I was without a doubt, trusting in riches.

Oh and Psalm 52:7 “Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others!”  Ouch.  I was greedy.  I was couponing to save.  I cringed if someone needed new shoes.   The old me had the money.. but held onto it tight.

And 1 Timothy 6:17 “ Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.” (NIV) What had I been doing?!  One bad accident and everything we had could be gone.  The striving, controlling and my trust in money had to stop.  God had to be my source, my supplier, my everything.

Oh to the glory of God, He did not leave me there to perish with many sorrows.  He gently led me through His Word to freedom.  And oh the freedom in Christ!  IF you don’t know it.. seek it hard!!  I highly recommend Beth Moore’s Breaking Free.

Proverbs 2:4-5 "if you seek it like silver and search for it like hidden treasure then you will understand the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God."

So this radical change.   This hard road of restoring my soul fully to Him has led to an amazing place.  And with such joy I share.   As God changed me, HE has saved my husband.   I proclaim, Jesus has pursued my earthly man.  This time the door of my husband's heart has swung open wide.  Welcoming a needed Savior.  Brad gave his life to Christ in February and is set for baptism this Sunday!  Raise to life with Christ our Savior.  Oh glorious day!  I cannot contain the tears of joy.  Of all the ways I’ve dreamed of this joyous time, God’s way FAR EXCEEDS them all.  HE IS FAITHFUL.

Please celebrate with me.  Please don’t stop praying for your husbands.  Thank you for all of your heart felt prayers.  This community is ALIVE with the love of God and I thank HIM – for each of you.

Please, I must share the biggest and most amazing lesson in all of this has been grace.

GRACE – BIG GOD SIZED GRACE.

GRACE to my husband at all hours of the day, when his blinded selfishness caused such pain.

GRACE to myself when my have not’s wanted to breed into bitter resentment and snide remarks.

GRACE to my friends when they just didn’t understand.

The tears we shed, He catches.

The hurt we feel, He has felt.

The love we know in Him, HE CREATED.

How could anyone else come close?

TRUST HIM with your husbands.

With so much love and faith in HIM to each of you,

Mandy, Sumite

Romans 2:4 “Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” (KJV)

Thank you Mandy. This is such a glorious testimony to our King.

Finally SUM Family. For those who have been a part of our community for a number of years, please remember with me Rosheeda Lee. Two years ago today she went home to Jesus. Rosheeda was such an amazing part of our community. She named us SUMites & SUMers. She started our community and lead us each year in our annual community week-long fast in January. She prayed for hundreds of you and was a voice of hope, always. I adore her and miss her. I can't wait to see her again and I know we will spend thousands of years together in glory.

She loved Jesus with a full heart. To read her story visit the Rosheeda Legacy Page link in our sidebar. She was amazing.

Happy Easter. TODAY IS WHY WE HAVE SO MUCH HOPE. Thank you Lord, Jesus for the cross, for your love, your examples, teaching and for the resurrection. We are looking forward to the greatest moment of all eternity the Great Wedding of the Bride and Prince Jesus. Amen.

Love, Lynn

The All Encompassing Promise of the Shepherd

18567885_sDear friends, we are in the tomb waiting for the promise to be revealed. Yet we know the promise already. We know Jesus and He knows us. I told you on Wednesday that I had another nugget to share with you and this one is so tender and intimate as it shows our Savior’s heart for us long before He even came.

Let’s take a trip back in time to the book of Isaiah. The book of Isaiah is full of prophetic words and pictures of the Messiah, but this one touched my heart deeply. Our English words don’t fully bring the meaning behind it. Take a look specifically at the words I’ve italicized.

He will tend His flock like a shepherd;
He will gather the lambs in His arms;
He will carry them in his bosom,
and gently lead those that are with young. — Isaiah 40:11 (ESV)

Again, I went to the original Greek translation out of curiosity and the gently nudging of the Holy Spirit and this is what I found.

Tend in the Greek translation is râ’râ and it has a list of meanings that fills a page. Among the obvious meanings in this imagery, it also means to keep company with, make friendship with, be a companion, or special friend

I love this so much because Jesus really and truly is our best Friend. He’s your BFF for life and nothing you do will change that.

Carry in the Greek is nâśâ’ and also has a list of meanings, even longer than tend. This list is the one that blew me away because you can find almost every reason why Jesus came and died for us. Take a look:

to lift, in a great variety of applications, literal and figurative: accept, advance, arise, (able to, (armor), suffer to) bear (- er, up), bring (forth), burn, carry (away), cast, contain, desire, ease, exact, exalt (self), extol, fetch, forgive, furnish, further, give, go on, help, high, hold up, honorable (+man), lade, lay, lift (self) up, lofty, marry, magnify, needs, obtain, pardon, raise (up), receive, regard, respect, set (up), spare, stir up, swear, take (away, up), utterly, wear, yield.

And…

to lift, bear up, carry, take: to lift, lift up to bear, carry, support, sustain, endure.

Through this one image, Isaiah captures the heart, purpose and loving intentions of the Messiah to come roughly 700 years before Jesus was born. It captures every aspect of His heart and love for us, all His intentions. His love is so vast and all encompassing! Did you see the word “marry” is in there too? Wow…

He came to be everything to us, my friends. Even for our pre-believers who aren’t seeking Him yet (hope you caught the nugget from Wednesday about that).

Happy Easter, SUMites! He is risen. He is risen indeed. He has emerged from the tomb to be our Friend, our Light, our Savior. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The abundant life that is so much more than we could ever hope or imagine.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for being our precious Shepherd. Thank You, that Your love far exceeds anything we can hope for or imagine. Thank You, Abba Father, for sending Your Son to save us. Thank You, King Jesus, for leaving your throne and becoming One like us and sacrificing Your life to save us. We declare by the power of Your blood that we are Yours and we love You! And thank You, Holy Spirit, for being our constant Companion and Comforter. Fill and empower us for the kingdom of God. We, the SUMite Nation, are the sons and daughters of God! We have overcome by the power and the blood of the Lamb! We stand united in and by His love, a force to be reckoned with. In the name of Jesus, amen!

Good Friday

Jesus said: So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. ---John 13:34

Today, on Good Friday, we the SUMite Nation loved... Here are a few photos of the Easter Prayer Tree for Heidi. Read that story here. Heidi is doing well with all considering. She's going to be a few weeks in recovery and therapy before they dismiss her for home. The family promised to get a few photos of her reaction to the surprise. However, she may not want photos shared after her surgery, so we will wait and see.

THANK YOU SUMITES. I was overwhelmed, yet once more, by your love for a stranger, and yet, a sister in the Kingdom. Have a blessed Easter. I'm praying each of you experience the Resurrection power this Sunday. In Jesus name. Amen. Hugs, Lynn

He is Risen!!!
