Thankful Thursday - We Serve A God of Change

Welcome to Thankful Thursday. It is a privilege to give thanks to the Lord and to host this awesome event in October. Next month we will meet at Grace Alone. December we will return to Women Taking A Stand. I count it a rich blessing to host Thankful Thursday. Thank you for sharing your Thursday with me.
This month I just feel like the more I learn and know about Jesus the more I need to learn.
There is tremendous change swirling about in the Donovan house and in almost every part of my life. Change can be scary. It can be unsettling. It can be painful. It can be awe inspiring, miraculous, and powerful.
We serve a God of change. He loves us so much He never stops changing our hearts, character and life. I have so much to tell you. I can't even begin to try to understand it all. I can tell you the heavens were rocked by prayers this past weekend at the Blogger's Retreat. My husband and his blondie, wife (me), will never be the same.
How awesome it that?
Watch for some updates to the Chronicles of the Donovan Clan next month after we conclude our Series, Mind of Christ Experiment.
Finally, I leave praising God for the lives that were changed through this past 30 days and the Blogger's Retreat. BIG stuff!! I plan to share more on Friday. Stop back for a giant praise fest. We will experience the bliss God desires for us.
What is God changing in your life? Can you see Him working to draw you closer, your husband? Your kids? I can't wait to read how Jesus is working in your life.
Happy Thankful Thursday. I praise Jesus for ever and ever because He refused to leave me the same. Hallelujah! Amen... Praise you Jesus.
Be blessed, Lynn

Oh, Lynn, you have no idea how much the Lord has been changing my life around. There are so many things happening -- and I am grateful for them. He certainly is changing my heart -- that is for sure. Especially when it comes to 'wants' in my life :)
I can't wait to read the updates on 'The Donovan Clan' ...
Thank you for being so faithful on blogging, especially hosting TT.
Love you much, my sweet friend...

Change isn't always bad, is it? Sometimes God has to remind me that there is beauty in change and believe me this past year has been a year of change for me and God is showing me His hand in it all! thanks for hosting TT this month Lynn ... you have done an awesome job!

Lynn, thank you so much for hosting this past month! Love that you shared about swirls of change and seeing God working! I shared about that in my post, too. I am so thankful that God gives us so many ways to "see" Him!

I am so uncomfortable with change. And I know, we should live with it every day to be who we need to be.

hello Lynn, you wrote that perfectly: change can be painful and it can be exciting. I am experiencing both: with myself and with Jack and the children. when the pains gets painful its more difficult for me to say: Amen Lord and when I see the change is something that doesnt cause pain it's easier for me to embrace it. My goal this past month was to put Jesus on the Throne of my life so I can embrace whatever comes. He shall stay on the Throne, I need to remember that I only need to go to him and not lean on myself.
I wish you would write sooner what is happening in your home. It sounds so exciting and wonderful. blessings, hugs and love from Switzerland, Tamara

Amen! The times, they are a-changin'! It's always with the purpose to bring Him glory.
I'm missin' you somethin' fierce! Why does CA have to be so far away from us southern girls?
Love ya.

Thanks for this 30 day journey Lynn. I have to agree with Tamara. Change can be painful and yet exciting. Through this journey I have wake up daily and die to myself and allow Christ on the throne. Yesterday, I blew it completely. Want so badly to fix my relationship in my own strength and I will never mend it that way. Still so hard to know it has ended in the natural realm and yet have faith God is restoring it in the spiritual realm. Only God knows his plan. My only job is to serve and love him with my whole heart and trust that he only has good plans for those that love him. Please pray for me this weekend as another couple and myself go to a woman's prison to minister in song and word for the weekend. I tried to talk myself out of it due to "pity party" and I refuse to allow my flesh to rule. I doubt very seriously that Christ "felt" like ministering to 5000, fighting the crowds, always giving and never receiving.... Hmmm.. Why is it so hard to get over OURSELF....... again... I fall to my knees and confess ITS NOT ABOUT ME. Love ya ladies, Holly
