Thankful Thursday - Gentleness

“You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great. You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip. I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and did not turn back till they were consumed." ~ Psalm 18:35-37

This week Iris has selected gentleness as our theme. I am so glad she did.

I am thankful for the gentle touch of my best friend here on earth, my husband.

I am thankful for my daughter who walked into the kitchen this afternoon and said, "hug." She held out her arms and I ran into them then squeezed her tight. This is quite something as she will be a teen in two weeks.

I am thankful for the gentle notes of love my Savior sends daily. A bunny on my walking trail. A beautiful sunrise. Roses in my garden.

I am thankful for Iris. Her friendship has blessed my life and made it rich.

Have a fantastic Thursday. Be blessed, Lynn

Thanks for so willingly sharing your gentle heart with so many my friend. I love you.

I pray my kids still hand out hugs when they're that age!

That was an extremely sweet and touching post; God bless you!!

Love those daughter hugs! Mine still gives them freely at age 24. My sons, now that is a different story! Love you.

Your words have rang over and over....I have been put to the TEST this week...and I have failed at times...but I am plunging on ---determined to follow HIM and have the "mind of Christ" and thoughts and words that would be pleasing.
"HUG" is a word we use...generally every morning I find Jeff before I get ready for work (he gets up and moving earlier---spends his quiet time outside in the swing) and I say "hug" and walk into his arms...I love that. I do the same thing with my grandsons...I want them to be "huggers"---not ashamed to hug Nana or Mommy or Papa in front of others.
You bless me girl with your words from the Lord. :)

ooops! Sorry. I thought it wasn't working.

That is too sweet about your daughter, especially as an almost-tween. I hope my kids still will want hugs when they're pre-teens too!

Hey Lynn,

What a special list of thankful things. How sweet and tender your daughter is.

So blessed to stop by. Hope you have a wonderful weekend♥

I enjoyed this thankful post Lynn. How wonderful to have voluntary hugs from preteens!!

Oh, how special that your daughter wants hugs from Mom! I pray mine will when they are that age, as well. Otherwise, they are going to get awfully tired of this Mom that LOVES to hug her kiddos! :)

I, too, am so thankful for gentleness. Where would we be without the Lord's gentle touch?

thanks for visiting my TT. What a wonderful post on your TT this week. What a wonderful thing to have a hug from your teen, I so enjoy those from my pre-teen daughter! - Blessings, Laurie

You know you're a doll, right?

So sweet. I'm thankful for you, Lynn. And for my sweet, wonderful husband who is quick to support me in chasing my dream. :-)

Hey there. You and I notice the same gentleness from God ... surprise, surprise. :) I had a couple of doves perch on my office window ledge just this week while I was in there working. When I heard their "coos" and saw them sitting there, I knew it was God's gift to me.

I love that "hug" thing with your daughter. That's so gentle and sweet. Have a lovely day.

What a beautiful thankful list...How awesome! God is so good. You have a wonderful weekend! ♥

Hug to you.

Thankful for you.
